The EcoAir X Series 2420SD is a complete 24000 BTU WiFi inverter split air conditioner, supplying both indoor and outdoor units in one package so you have everything bar the install. As a full split air conditioner system, it delivers 6.16 kW of cooling and 6.45 kW of heating, sized for larger spaces of around 40 m² (roughly 600 BTU per m²) like big living rooms, open-plan kitchens and larger offices. Efficiency is the X Series hallmark: low-GWP R32 refrigerant, a SEER of 6.1 and inverter technology that can save 30-50% on energy versus a non-inverter unit. With a quoted cooling input power of 1.76 kW, running the system flat out costs roughly 46p per hour at 26p/kWh, and far less once the inverter throttles back to maintain temperature. Comfort features include intelligent defrosting, ultra-quiet operation, a 24-hour timer, memory, sleep mode and auto restart, all controllable via WiFi app or the supplied remote. In the box you get the indoor unit, outdoor unit and remote control, and the system is CE marked for the UK and EU. The complete system weighs 67 kg combined. As a refrigerant split, it must be installed and commissioned by an F-Gas certified installer, including evacuating the line set with a vacuum pump.
