The EcoAir X Series 1820SD outdoor unit is the 18000 BTU condenser for EcoAir's R32 WiFi inverter split air conditioner range, built around low-GWP R32 refrigerant, a SEER of up to 6.1 and an A+++/A++ energy rating. As the outdoor half of a split air conditioner, this condenser lives outside and manages heat rejection in summer and heat extraction in winter via its reversible heat-pump cycle, sized for rooms of around 30 m² (roughly 600 BTU per m²) such as larger living rooms, open-plan kitchens and bigger offices. R32 carries a lower global-warming potential than older R410A, and the inverter compressor can trim 30-50% off energy bills compared with a fixed-speed unit. Intelligent defrosting keeps performance steady through cold British winters, and ultra-quiet operation, a 24-hour timer, memory and auto restart round out the feature set. This condenser weighs 37 kg, lighter than the 24000 BTU version, making it more manageable to mount. Clear scope note: this is the outdoor unit only, so a matching X Series indoor wall unit and pipe kit are required to complete the system. Being a refrigerant split, it must be installed and commissioned by an F-Gas certified installer, including vacuuming the copper pipe run.
