On full power it draws 1500 W (with a 750 W low setting), so running the heat costs around 39p per hour at 26p/kWh on high, or about 20p per hour on the lower setting, broadly in line with other 2 kW-class electric fires and an efficient way to warm a single room without firing up central heating. As a direct-acting electric heater it converts essentially all the electricity it draws into heat, with the warmth felt instantly, unlike slower oil-filled radiators. Overheat protection and UKCA certification keep it safe, and it runs quietly with both panel and remote control (6 m range).
