This MeacoClean CA-HEPA 119x5 UV lamp and PCO plate pack renews the germ-killing stage of the larger 119x5 air purifier in one convenient replacement. On this model, an ultraviolet lamp partners a Photocatalytic Oxidation (PCO) plate, a titanium-dioxide-coated surface activated by the UV light, to break down viruses, germs and bacteria carried in the airflow faster than HEPA filtration could on its own. Both parts have a finite life: the UV lamp lasts around 10,000 hours (roughly 416 days of continuous running) and the PCO plate around two years, and once they are spent the purifier keeps running but its sterilising power fades. Replacing the pair together brings the 119x5 back to full effectiveness, keeping it working hard against airborne contaminants for households managing allergies, pet dander, pollen and everyday indoor air quality.
