It extracts 8 litres a day, the equivalent of a 16 to 20 litre compressor model, and works hard to reduce or eliminate mould spores, condensation and damp while improving the air you live and work in. Its headline appeal is cost: running costs start from around 8p per hour on fan speed 1 (based on 24.67p/kWh), thanks to smart Meaco control technology that runs the unit for short bursts only when needed, rather than continuously or just switching off at the target humidity, lowering energy use by up to 80%. As a desiccant model it also keeps working in the cold, down to 1°C, so it earns its keep in unheated rooms, garages and conservatories through winter. The Junior is small, lightweight and quiet, with a new easier graphical control panel and a handy daily run timer, and its Laundry mode makes it excellent for drying washing indoors.
