This Costway 12,000 BTU portable air conditioner is a true year-round unit, cooling in summer and switching to a built-in 9,500 BTU heater when it turns cold, with fan, dehumidify and auto modes for the seasons in between. The 12,000 BTU cooling output suits rooms of around 25 m² – a large bedroom, lounge or home office – and it pulls up to 28.8 L/day of moisture from the air. Airflow is strong at 400 m³/h, with three fan speeds, a quiet sleep mode and a 24-hour timer so the room is comfortable before you get home. Noise spans 50-65 dB across speeds, with lower settings fine for daytime living. As a single-hose monobloc it must vent through a window using the 159 cm exhaust hose and the 60-120 cm window fit; there is no hoseless cooling. Maintenance stays simple thanks to a detachable, washable filter and a built-in cord organiser, and a 100 cm drain hose handles condensate. Control is via the touch panel or remote across a 15-31°C range. The box includes the exhaust duct, connector, window adapter, baffle plate, drain hose, remote and user guide; at 32 kg on castors it still rolls between rooms.

Day-to-day use is straightforward thanks to a touch panel and remote control, three fan speeds, auto mode and a 24-hour timer so you can have the room comfortable before you get home. A quiet sleep mode keeps things peaceful at night.
